The Relume laser is a patented system specifically designed for targeted repigmentation phototherapy of leukoderma. Leukoderma is a condition where skin loses its normal pigmentation as a complication of injury from trauma, surgery, laser therapy, burns, stretch marks, autoimmune disease, or chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as dermatitis.

The Relume laser is the first device of its kind to receive FDA approval for repigmentation. The Laronn Clinique is the only clinic in the Denver area to have this equipment available.

How it works
Relume spectral distribution from 290-320nm stimulates melanogenesis (melanin pigment production), thickening of the skin as well as immediate pigment darkening by oxidizing melanin already present in the skin. Melanin is the pigment that gives your skin it's natural color, so once additional pigment is created in the treated area, the color darkens to more closely match the surrounding area.

A series of 8-16 weekly treatments are used to result in a 75% to 90% re-pigmentation of the skin. The treatment is painless and is safe for all skin types, anywhere on the body. This technology treats successfully a variety of conditions asociated with loss of skin color such as scars of variable origin such as traumatic, surgical, acne, burns, laser resurfaced skin, stretch marks, as well as vitiligo, psoriasis, hand dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis.

Recovery Time & Cost
There is no recovery time. Depending on the size of the area being treated as well as the type of problem, single treatment may cost anywhere from $80 - $170.
