CHEMICAL PEELS

There are many different varieties of chemical peels peels because there are a variety of agents that can be used at different strengths. The Laronn Clinique offers 14 different peels made up of 8 agents and 13 variations. Some of the peel types include: glycolic acid, salicylic acid, TCA (blue peel), Retinoic , Jessner, or cryogenic.

How they work

A solution is applied to your face to remove the dead cells and stimulate the production of new skin cells. This process tightens the skin, reduces brown discolorations and uneven pigmentation, reduces and controls acne, decreases fine wrinkles, improves sun-damaged skin, and restores a more youthful appearance to your skin.

There are a multitude of solutions that are used for different types of problems. These solutions can be used in low to high concentrations depending on the type of skin and the problem that needs to be corrected. The stronger, more concentrated the solution is, the deeper the peel, the better the correction, and the longer recovery time. Your doctor will select the right strength of peel or combinations for your personal skin condition and skin type. Peels may be combined with other treatments such as iontophoresis (an enhanced delivery of nutrients, vitamins, or hydration to your skin). Since there are a number of different treatments that treat these same conditions it is important to have a physician experienced in and able to provide all the alternatives so you can be advised which is best for you.

Recovery Time & Cost

Costs may range from $80 - $580 for a full-face peel and proportionally less for smaller areas. The costs depend on the type of solution and concentration are being used. Recovery time varies from none for light peels to a week for medium peels.
